PEDESTAL built (✓) NEW location (✓) SITE updates (✓)

Hi Everyone! Here’s the LATEST:

We’ve switched the location for showing ACROBAT{monumental} with NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program from Tribeca’s Finn Park to East River Park. Once the ground thaws we’ll lay a concrete pad (April) for mounting Acrobat. Want to help dig, mix, pour & trowel? I’ll announce the unveiling date next month!

Can you tell what’s real and what was scanned in? The photo of me next to the steel pedestal holding up the gray foam prototype section in front of my studio is real. The bronze ACROBAT was lifted from a foundry image and overlaid to show how it will look when mounted and bolted down. Apologies for the poor rendering of its patina—it was tricky shooting indoors with bad lighting. It will be richer and more radiant in person! I know…I know…I’m dressed like a traffic cop at a ski resort…

Swimfaster , surf longer @ Artinjection.com I am currently seeking an investor/collector to partner up for the enlargement of Swimfaster from 40”L to lifesize scale: 8’-6”L. As with most of my work, Swimfaster is meant to be experienced on a monumental scale!

I’ve updated BOTH of my websites. Do a fly by and lemme know what you think. Yup, I even truncated (finally!) that long a** yawn-inducing Artinjection BIO! Mira/Bovo , my first double-portrait, juxtaposes two of my favorite contemporary dancers Mira Cook and Giorgia Bovo . This sculpture was directly inspired by their astonishing performances last fall with Indelible Dance in No Man’s Land— choreographed by Robin Cantrell (NYC) —during which Mira Cook was eight months pregnant! My first abstract portrait of a dancer/choreographer was Cantrell (2016). Since Mira/Bovo was equally challenging and rewarding to create, I plan to expand the series in 2019.
